Wings Comeback and Take Game 1, 4-2

AUSTIN, MN – Four unanswered goals by Aberdeen leads to a 4-2 win and a 1-0 series lead.

In the first game back in the Playoffs for the Bruins in 1,097 days, the Bruins looked to get off on the right foot and did just that. In the closing thirty seconds of the 1st period, Anthony Menghini would get his first of the playoffs while on the Chad Thomas Thrivent Financial Power Play to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead to the locker room after the 1st period. Alex Trombley would give the Bruins a 2-0 lead 16 minutes into the 2nd period and would ultimately take a 2-0 lead to the locker room after 4o minutes of action.

From there, Aberdeen would get a second life and score 4 unanswered goals, two from Seamus Campbell, one at 2:14 and the other at 4:35 of the 3rd period. It would be a 2-2 game until the final 3 minutes of the period, when Dominic Schimizzi would net the game-winner and twenty seconds later, Aberdeen would get an empty netter from Jacob Bosse to seal the deal and take this one by the final of 4-2.

Aberdeen takes a 1-0 series lead into tomorrow night as Game 2 of the Central Division Semifinals takes place at Riverside Arena. Game time is set for 7:05 PM
