Wings Best Bruins

The Bruins continued their final road trip of the season as they faced off against the Aberdeen Wings. On Friday night the Bruins added three goals in the third period bringing the game to overtime. The Wings won in a shutout and Marcus Zelzer was credited with the victory. The Bruins enter action this Saturday night with a 7-2 record against the Wings on the season. The opening period from the Odde Center was a perfect pace. The Bruins tossed 17 pucks on Fredrick Liesner in the first. At the first intermission the Bruins and Wings were scoreless. The second period had plenty of offense; the Wings got off to a quick start Louis Educate beat AJ Underwood and put the wings up 1-0. The Wings made it 2-0 when Cody Marooney scored assisting on the goal was Brandon Platt. The Bruins got their first goal of the night from Jadin Martin assists went to Cody Hotchkin and Sam Olson. The Bruins continued the offense this time it was Jordan Greenberg assisting on the tally was Charlie Adams and Chris Fischer. The Wings were able to regain the lead when Paul Prescott scored. The Bruins were able to notch it up at three a piece when Dawson Kuhlmann muscled one in unassisted. The third period the Wings got back on the scoring sheet when Cory Ward pumped one in giving his team a 4-3 lead. Paul Prescott gave the Wings a two goal lead on the power play. The Wings were able to hold the lead and pick up the 5-3 victory. The Bruins will close out the expansion season tomorrow night against the Coulee Region Chill tune into Fast Hockey.com for live play by play.
