Win Streak Snapped

The Black and Yellow traveled to Brookings South Dakota to renew the rivalry against the Blizzard. The first frame from the Larson Ice Center was action packed as Austin took a 1-0 lead courtesy of AJ Reid, assisting was Jay Dickman and Ladislav Zikmund. The B’s made it 2-0 with a Power Play goal from AJ Reid, Jay Dickman recorded his second assist of the contest. Matt Youso was able to counter for the Blizzard making it 2-1. Austin capitalized on the Power Play again as AJ Reid completed the first period hat trick. At the end of the first intermission Austin led 3-1. The second frame Brookings was able to make it a 3-2 score.  The Blizzard tied it 3-3 in the later moments in the second. At the end of two intermissions the score was tied. The final period the white and green took over gaining their first lead of the night.  Austin could not counter in the final period. The final score was 4-3 Brookings. Tomorrow night the Bruins will paint Riverside Arena pink for Cancer Research. If you are not one of the 2200 fans that has tickets you can tune into AM 1480 KAUS for live play by play.
