Tristan Zarsky Announces Commitment to Brown University

AUSTIN, MN – The Austin Bruins, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to share that Defesemen Tristan Zarsky has announced his commitment to continue his education and play NCAA Division I hockey at Brown University. Zarsky becomes the 3rd Bruin this season to make his College Commitment. 

“I’m ecstatic about getting the opportunity to further my education and play Division 1 hockey at Brown University” stated Zarsky. “It’s a dream come true to pursue my academic ambitions at such a prestigious institution while also being able to further my career and fuel my passion for hockey. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Tristan Zarsky was acquired via a trade with the Shreveport Mudbugs in October. Since then, Zarsky, a ’03 birthyear, has appeared in 13 games for the Bruins and has 4 assists. During his time with the Mudbugs, Zarsky played in 59 career regular-season games for Shreveport and appeared in 8 Robertson Cup Playoff games. Before joining the Mudbugs, Zarsky played in the AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League) as a member of the Blackfalds Bulldogs. 

Brown University is a private Ivy League research university in Providence, Rhode Island. Brown is the seventh-oldest institution of higher education in the United States as it was founded in 1764 as the College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. The Bears are members of ECAC Hockey and play at Meehan Auditorium
