Rematch at Bismarck

The Bruins continued their weekend series in Bismarck, against the defending Robertson Cup Champion Bismarck Bobcats. The Bruins were blanked last night 5-0 at VFW Sports Center; the win put the Bobcats in first place in the central division. The first period from Bismarck was fairly even, the Bobcats scored first, just one minute into the regulation. The Bobcats added another goal later in the period from Tom Rizzardo. The Bruins went to work on the power play, Jordan Greenberg fed new acquisition Christian Folin, Folin Threw it on net and Sam Olson deposited the rebound into the twine. The Bruins hit the dressing room down 2-1. The second period was action packed as a couple of fights broke out halfway through the second period. Nolan Kirley spared with Dalton Spicer and Cody Hotchkin exchange fists with Nick Romanick. The score remained 2-1 Bobcats after two periods. The final frame the Bruins continued to battle but couldn’t get a tally. Eamon Mcadam had a solid night in net, the tender stopped 37 pucks. The Bruins fought hard, but came up short 1-2. The Bruins next opponent is the Coulee Region Chill at Riverside Arena next Friday and Saturday.
