AUSTIN, MN – Two points separated the Bruins and Norsemen going into Friday’s game, but St. Cloud would take a 6-2 win and sit tied on top of the Division standing.

The red hot Norsemen coming into the game have won 9 of their last 10 games and showed why right out of the gate, as 1:55 into the contest, Brandon Lajoie would get his first of the night off a pass from Kade Peterson to give St. Cloud a 1-0 lead early. The Norsemen would add two more before the end of the period, one from Ryan O’Neill and the other from Chase Freiermuth to give the Norsemen a 3-0 lead to the locker room after the 1st period of play.

St. Cloud would come out hot again in the 2nd, as 2:15 into the 2nd period, Lajoie would get his 2nd of the night to make it a then 4-0 lead for the Norsemen. The Bruins would get one back, however, while on the Chad Thomas Thrivent Finacial Power Play, Nick Catalano would find a loose puck in the high slot to cut the deficit down to 4-1.

Walter Zacher would waste no time in the 3rd, as the Buffalo, NY native would get his 7th goal of the season 1:21 into the period to cut the Norsemen’s lead in half. St. Cloud would then answer back with two of their own, as O’Neill would complete the hat trick to secure a 6-2 victory for St. Cloud.
