AUSTIN, MN- The North American Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 31, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2023-24 season that honors the top-performing players in the four NAHL divisions. Only players nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.
Austin defenseman Kaden Muir, 19, helped the Bruins get back on track with a weekend sweep of their home-and-home series against the North Iowa Bulls. The 6’2/190 lbs native of Toronto, ON, recorded four points in the two wins and was a +1. On Friday, Muir had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 home win. On Saturday, he had two assists in a 5-2 road win. For the season, Muir has recorded 9 points in 16 games played.
“Kaden has been playing really well despite having a few injuries earlier in the season,” said Bruins head coach Steve Howard. “He’s a difference maker for us on the backend and we are a much better team when he is in the line-up. Our entire staff is extremely proud that Kaden has been recognized for his recent play and we look forward to him following that up,”
