ABERDEEN, SD – Justin Misiak had three points and Alex Schilling made 40 saves as the Bruins engineered yet another come from behind win on Saturday night against the Aberdeen Wings, 4-2.

The Wings led 2-0 after one period on a pair of special teams goals. Colin Raver was set up by Carter Roo for a shorthanded tally at 3:38 of the first to open the scoring. Kevin Fitzgerald scored his 5th against the Bruins this season at 16:05, with a power-play one-timer, just moments after a 5 on 3 turned into a 5 on 4.

Misiak cut the lead in half 4:22 into the second, pouncing on a rebound from a center ice dump by Dan Petrick that Wings netminder Forbes Ploszaj couldn’t corral. The Bruins outshot Aberdeen 13-10 in the 2nd, but went into the 3rd down by a goal.

At 2:29 of the third, Jon Richards tied the game, set up once again by Misiak, who streaked up the right wing with a backhander that popped loose near the left circle for Richards to blast past Ploszaj. At 7:42, the Bruins took their first lead when Paul O’Connor converted on a point shot for a power play goal and a 3-2 Bruins advantage. Schilling made several big saves to preserve the lead before Richards’ got the empty netter in the final minute to seal the win.

The Bruins next game is Friday night in Richfield against the Minnesota Magicians. They return home for a Saturday night affair against the Coulee Region Chill at 7:05.
