McClellan Earns NAHL Vaughn Goaltender of the Month

AUSTIN, Minn. – For the second time in a week, the Bruins have been bestowed a league honor with Kyle McClellan being named the NAHL Vaughn Goaltender of the month.

McClellan, 19, put up a record of 4-0-1 while helping the Bruins to a 6-0-2 record for the month. During the stretch, McClellan topped the league in goals-against average, save percentage, and shutouts. Currently leading the league in shutouts, he racked up two this past month including a 39 save effort on the road against the Magicians and his most recent blanking of the Chippewa Steel on Saturday night, a 5-0 win.

The Manchester, MO, native saw 130 shots in the month of October while only allowing six goals in the five games he played.

McClellan and the Bruins are on the road this weekend beginning a four-game set with the Minot Minotauros. The first two coming from Maysa arena on Friday and Saturday night before flipping the venue to Riverside Arena on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10. The Bruins will be honoring members of the armed forces on Saturday, November 10 with the annual Military Appreciation Night presented by ABC 6 News. For the night, the black-and-gold will wear specialty red, white, and blue uniforms which fans can purchase via auction following the conclusion of the game.

Tickets for both games on the 9th and 10th will be available starting Monday, November 5 at all the Bruins ticket partners including Hy-Vee, Games People Play, Holiday Inn Austin, and Jim’s Marketplace.
