AUSTIN, MN- Bruins complete the first weekend sweep of the season as they take down the Bismarck Bobcats by the final of 5-1.

Prior to tonight’s game, the Bruins have yet to be able to close out a weekend series with a sweep until tonight against the Bobcats. It was a scoreless first period up until the 19:41 mark of the 1st when Alex Trombley would score his 3rd goal of the season from a drop pass from Braidan Simmons-Fischer to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead into the locker room after the 1st period of action.

Not content with a 1-goal lead, the Bruins would come out of the 1st period intermission hot as Jens Richards would score on the Chad Thomas-Thrivent Financial Power Play to give Austin a 2-0 lead, just 1:26 into the 2nd period. Bismarck would get their lone goal and the only mark on the scoresheet past Bruins goalie, Niko Goich, and Drew Holt would score his 4th of the season for the Bobcats. Bruins would go on to add 3 more goals before the night ended as Michal Jasenec, would score his first career NAHL goal, Sutter Muzzatti, and Austin Salani would get pucks past Bismarck net-minder Aksel Reid. Goich would stop 21 of the 22 shots he would face to pick up his 2nd win on the season for the Bruins.
