Goaltender Miller Loaned to Cedar Rapids of USHL

Dec 5, 2018

AUSTIN, Minn. – Bruins goaltender Brett Miller has been loaned to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL.

The loan comes at a time where the RoughRiders found themselves down a goaltender with Blake Pietila, cousin of Bruins defenseman Jed Pietila, competing in the World Junior A challenge.

Miller has appeared in 11 games for the Bruins this season compiling a 7-2-0-2 record complete with the leagues third-best GAA (1.78) and a .922 save percentage.

The 6-foot-2, 184-pound Miller, hails from Northville, MI and recently announced his commitment to RPI to play Division-I hockey starting in 2020-21.

The Bruins are on the road for the next five games including a back-to-back with the Brookings Blizzard this weekend, followed by two-straight against rival Bismarck on December 14 and 15. Following the Christmas holiday, the Bruins play the first of a home-and-home series against the Wilderness in Cloquet before finally returning to Riverside Arena on December 29th.

Tickets will go on sale the week before Christmas for that final game of the 2018 calendar year. Tickets can be purchased at all the Bruins ticket vendors including, Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn, and Jim’s Marketplace.
