AUSTIN, MN – The Austin Bruins, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to share that Forward Gavin Morrissey has announced his commitment to continue his education and play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Wisconsin.
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to Wisconsin,” stated Gavin Morrissey. “Thanks to my family, teammates, coaches, and everyone who helped along the way!”
A native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Gavin Morrissey is in his second season with the Bruins. In 101 career regular-season games, Morrissey has logged 22 goals and 50 assists for a total of 72 points. During the current Robertson Cup Playoff run, Morrissey has tallied 5 assists. Morrissey was initially committed to Minnesota State-Mankato.
“Gavin is a smart two-way player,” mentioned Bruins Head Coach Steve Howard. “Both on and off the ice, he knows what it takes to help the team win and will go on to do great things”. “He’s worked hard to this and we are all happy to see it pay off”.
