LA CROSSE, WI – Gilbert Gabor scored back to back second period powerplay goals while Robbie Goor stopped 25 shots as the Bruins knocked off the Chill, 4-1 on Wednesday night at Green Island Ice Arena. The Bruins improved to 2-1-0 against Coulee Region and won for the 7th time in their last 9 road games.

The teams traded first period goals as Austin Rueschhoff deflected a Marcus Karlstrom shot home at 15:39 (secondary assist to Miha Zajc) and Michael Wilson netted a shorthanded goal with just 12 seconds remaining. The Bruins dominated the second period despite taking five penalties. Gabor took a Rueschhoff pass and scored a powerplay goal at 2:04 and then threw a puck off goaltender Hunter Vorva's skate at 12:08 for his 2nd of the period. Jade Miller assisted on both goals while Karlstom picked up his 2nd point with a helper. At 16:56, Evan Cholak would make it a 4-1 game, capitalizing off a Tyler Frischmon faceoff win.

Robbie Goor did the rest, making 25 saves for his first NAHL win. Forwards Tyler Frischmon and Michael Piehler also made their Bruins debuts in the game. The Bruins kept pace with the victorious Minot Minotauros, who will visit Riverside Arena for an important series this weekend.
