DALLAS, Tex. – The National Hockey League has released their preliminary Central Scouting report for the upcoming season with Bruins defenseman Dylan Davies making the report as a “Player to Watch”.

Every season the NHL releases the Central Scouting report with A, B, and C ranked players from across all the junior leagues of the world. The rankings are live with players moving up and down throughout the course of their year based on their play on the ice.

New for this season, the NHL has introduced a ‘Players to Watch’ list which shows players on the bubble who stand a good chance of being in one of three lettered lists when the 2018-19 junior season comes to an end.

The NAHL has 13 total players represented in the NHL Central Scouting report with four being C-ranked players and nine listed as ‘Players to Watch’. The  Austin Bruins are one of 10 teams represented with defenseman Dylan Davies ranking on the ‘Players to Watch’ list.

The 17-year-old, Traverse City, MI native was a fourth-round selection by the Bruins this past summer in the NAHL Entry Draft and spent July playing at the Hlinka-Gretzky cup for the United States U18 Development Team.

Through five games this season, Davies is still looking for his first NAHL point but he continues to stay disciplined having not committed a penalty to date and has logged a +1 plus-minus.

Davies and the rest of the Austin Bruins are back on the ice this Saturday for their third-straight home game. The puck drops at 7:05 when the black and gold battle the Brookings Blizzard at Riverside Arena. Tickets are available at all the Bruins ticket vendors including Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn/Conference Center, and Jim’s Marketplace.
