Chill Top Bruins

The Austin Bruins wrapped up the regular season against the Coulee Region Chill this Saturday night. The Black and Yellow had many supporters at the Omni Center for the second straight night. The Austin Bruins started the scoring for the Bruins the assist was Matt Hansen. Both teams had 14 shots in the first period. At the first intermission the Bruins led 1-0. The second period the Chill tied the game 1-1early in the frame. Austin regained the lead on the power play as Matt Hansen scored his twelfth goal of the season, assisting was Charlie Adams and AJ Reid. The Chill scored three unanswered goals to take a 4-2 lead.  At the end of the second period the Chill led 4-2 and outshot the Bruins 31-22.The final period the Bruins continued to get chances but could get one past Aaron Davis. The Chill added one more with an empty Bruins net. The Chill increased the lead to 6-2 late in the third period. The Chill picked up the victory 6-2 in the final meeting between the two teams. The Bruins start the first playoff series in ever in Alexandria next weekend.
