AUSTIN, Minn. – The Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Tiernan Shoudy has been called up to the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL and will be rostered for the team’s Saturday night game against the Omaha Lancers.

Shoudy, 17, has played 24 games for the Bruins this season scoring four goals and adding 10 assists. The Marysville, MI, native has a commitment to play college hockey at Michigan State following his junior career. This won’t be the first time Shoudy has donned the red-white-and-blue of the Des Moines Buccaneers, the 5-foot-10 Shoudy played in four games for the Bucs at the end of the 2018-19 season. In those four games he logged one assist which stood as his first point in junior hockey.

The Buccaneers take the ice in Omaha on Saturday night looking to defeat the Lancers. Joining Shoudy in the game is another Bruins alumnus, Kyle McClellan, who suits up for Omaha.

As for the Bruins, they’re off on Saturday night but get right back to work next Friday with a showdown against the St. Cloud Blizzard, the first matchup between the two teams this season. Tickets for Friday night’s game at Riverside Arena go on sale Monday, December 2 at all the Bruins vendors including Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn, and Jim’s Marketplace.
