The Austin Bruins wrapped up a two game set against the Coulee Region Chill this Saturday night at Riverside Arena. The first period was a very quickly pace as the fans had plenty to cheer about. Brandon Wahlin put the Bruins on the scoreboard with a PP goal, John Simonson and Jay Dickman had the assists. At the end of one period of play Austin led 1-0 and outshot the Chill 15-6. The middle period Austin got a goal from CJ Smith assisting was Josh Bretner and Jake Flynn. At the end of two periods of play the B’s led 2-0. The third period 1,342 fans had plenty to cheer about as the Bruins continued to steer pucks on Blake Cates. The Chill scored their first of the night as Andy Faust found the twine. Austin added an empty net goal as Jay Dickman found an opening. The Bruins were able to bounce back with the 3-1 victory. Austin will gear up for a rematch against the Chill this Wednesday at Riverside Arena.
