Bruins Win Shootout!!!

The Austin Bruins traveled to Onalaska Wisconsin to battle the Coulee Region Chill. The Chill started the scoring in the first frame with a goal from Andy Faust. The Bruins outshot the Chill 15-6 in period number one and trailed 1-0. The second period Austin had 32 shots on goal but could not solve Mound Minnesota native Aaron Davis. The Bruins had 4 power play chances through two periods of play but could not find the twine. At the end of two periods Coulee led 1-0. The third period Coulee continued the lead as Hunter Anderson gave the Chill a 2-0 lead. Rochester native Zack Johnson found the back of the net cutting the Chill load in half, assists went to Riley Colvard and Scotty Nelson. The Bruins tied it at two with a goal from CJ Smith, the assist went to John Simonson. With no result after regulation the game went to overtime. With no conclusion after the overtime the game went to a shootout. With the puck on Riley Colvards stick he beat goaltender Aaron Davis as the Bruins win in a shootout. Austin will wrap up the six game road trip tomorrow night at the Omni Center you can hear the Broadcast at AM 1480 KAUS.
