Feb 9, 2012

The Austin Bruins were back on the ice after an overtime victory on Thursday night in Aberdeen.  The opening frame from the Odde Ice Center was an interesting one. Back and forth action was the theme in period number one. The Bruins took a one goal lead when AJ Reid fed Trevor Waldoch. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 1-0. The second period Austin made it 2-0 with a Jeremy Finger tip in assisted by Brandon Wahlin. The Bruins controlled the pace in the second frame and continued to create opportunities. The Wings put their first goal of the game on a rush making it a 2-1 score.  At the end of two periods of play Austin led 2-1. The final period Charlie Adams went upstairs to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead. The Wings were able to get their second of the game on the power play late in the third. Austin continued to play strong in the third and come out with the 3-2 victory. The Bruins wrap up the three game road trip Saturday night in Bismarck North Dakota.
