Bruins Sweep Bobcats

The Austin Bruins concluded the final regular season game at Riverside Arena against the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bruins started the scoring as Jeremy Finger set up Matt Hansen as the Bruins led 1-0. The Bobcats countered with a goal from Nick Miglio. At the first intermission it was a 1-1 score as Bruins tender Tyler Bruggeman made 21 saves. The second period the Bobcats took a 2-1 lead. The Bruins gained the momentum from some big hits and then tied the Bobcats with an AJ Reid goal, assisting was Charlie Adams and Jon Gerht.  Austin took the lead as Trevor Waldoch fired a puck from the blue line that was tipped in by Charlie Adams. At the end of two periods of play Austin led 3-2. The Bobcats outshot the Bruins 36-22. The third period the Bruins continued to play well Trevor Waldoch scored a power play goal assisting was Brandon Wahlin and Chris Fischer. The Bruins scored one more to put the icing on the cake as Jeremy Finger set up CJ Smith on a breakaway with an empty netter. The Bruins sweep Bobcats as Tyler Bruggeman had 50 saves.
