Bruins Smash Chill

The Black and Yellow were back in battle in Onalaska Wisconsin to bump heads with the Coulee Region Chill.  The First period the Coulee Region Chill took a 1-0 lead on a penalty shot. Austin answered back with a goal from Grant Eichstadt assists went to Cody Dixon and Jay Dickman. At the end of the period Drew Anderson was given a five minute major for elbowing and given a game ejection. At the end of one frame the Bruins and Chill were deadlocked at one. The middle stanza Coulee had 6 minutes of power plays in the first 10 minutes of play. The Chill was able to get a Power Play goal on their sixth shot of the period. The B’s were able to tie the contest at two with a goal from Jay Dickman. Austin scored on the Power Play with just a couple minutes remaining as AJ Reid was fed by Brandon Wahlin and Cody Dixon. Less than half a minute later Austin added another Power Play goal, this time it was John Simonson. At the end of two periods Austin led 4-2. The final frame the Chill got some light as Adam Lovick cut the lead in half . Austin added an empty netter from CJ Smith assists went to AJ Reid and Jay Dickman. With the 5-3 victory Austin is now 8-1 against the Chill this season. The B’s will conclude play on the weekend Saturday night in Onalaska. You can listen to the Broadcast on AM 1480 KAUS.
