Bruins Send Stark to USHL, Acquire Defenseman Pilawski

AUSTIN, MN – The Austin Bruins, proud members of the North American Hockey League announced on Friday that they have sent defenseman Anthony Stark to the Madison Capitals of the USHL in exchange for defenseman and Lake Superior State commit, Chase Pilawski.

Pilawski, a 99-birthyear played 55 games in the USHL last season, 40 under Steve Howard in Waterloo (15 with the Tri City Storm). Combined, he put up three goals and ten assists. Prior to the USHL, Pilawski played two seasons with Little Caesars between U16s and U18s, where he was teammates with Jaden Shields, DeVon Fields, and Justin Brandt.

Pilawski is from Lutz, Florida – a town just North of Tampa Bay and played for Steinbrenner High for a season in his hometown. He announced his commitment to Lake Superior State in December of 2015 while still playing for Little Caesars.

Stark has appeared in ten games for the Bruins, registering two assists. He came to the Bruins this season from Shattuck St. Mary’s.

The Bruins have a home-and-home this weekend with the Coulee Region Chill, tonight’s game beginning at 7:05 at Riverside. The first 200 fans through the door wearing Bruins gear will receive a First Farmers and Merchants Bank collectible mini-stick. It’s also MS Awareness Night. Paying homage to “Black Friday,” the Bruins will wear their black road jerseys.
