Bruins Secure 400th Franchise Win, Down St. Cloud 6-3

AUSTIN, MN – History was made Friday night inside Riverside Arena as the Bruins picked up their 400th win in Franchise History.

After sweeping the Aberdeen Wings last weekend, the Bruins now set their sights on the St. Cloud Norsemen, a team they have seen for fifty-one days with the last meeting being a 3-0 win on November 23rd. It would be under two minutes into the game when Isaak Brassard would get his 2nd goal of the season off of a redirected chip-in from St. Cloud’s goalie Tomas Bolo to give the Bruins the early 1-0 lead. Dylan Cook with make it a 2-0 lead at the 10:56 mark of the period with his 9th goal of the year and Ocean Wallace on the Power Play late in the period would give the Bruins a 3-0 lead to the locker room after the 1st period of play.

A high-scoring 2nd period would follow and the pace would be set just a minute in, and Ryan Thomas would break the shutout with his 1st of the season to pull the deficit for the Norsemen to two goals. Gavin Morrissey and Cook would be quick to answer right back with two goals to pull the lead back up to a then 5-1 lead. Late in the second, the Norsemen would find themselves on back-to-back Power Plays would capitalize on both chances with goals from Kade Peterson and Andrew Clarke.

Ethan Robertson would stand tall for the Bruins in the 3rd period as Jack Malinski would seal the deal with an empty-net goal in the last nine seconds of the night to secure a 6-3 win, and the 4th straight for the Bruins. Robertson would stop 26 of the 29 shots he would face on the evening.

The Bruins now look for the weekend sweep tomorrow night up in St. Cloud with puck drop set for 7:00 PM CST.
