The Austin Bruins were back at Riverside Arena to play game three of the Central Division Championship Series against the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bruins Crew took a lead as Chris Fischer scored on the first power play of the night assisting was Brandon Wahlin. Bismarck tied the contest with a power play of their own. At the end of one period of play Austin and Bismarck were tied at one. Bismarck outshot Austin 16-10 in the first frame. The second period Bismarck took a 2-1 lead with a goal on the rush. The Bruins sent some quality shots on goaltender Aaron Nelson but could not dent the twine. At the end of two periods of play Bismarck led 2-1. The final frame Bismarck added another goal as they led 3-1. Austin pulled Tyler Bruggeman late in the third period for an extra attacker but could not find the back of the net. Bismarck went on to win 3-1 in the final. The Bruins had a very successful 2ndseason in the North American Hockey League making it all the way to the Central Division Championship.
