Bruins Predraft Camp Locations Relocated To Nearby Cities

Jun 5, 2020

AUSTIN, Minn. – Originally scheduled for Minneapolis, MN, and Detroit, MI, the Austin Bruins have announced the relocation of their two predraft camps to nearby Hudson, WI, and Toledo, OH, respectively. Players who have already signed up will receive an email with further details on their specific camp and a list of FAQ’s to help parents better plan with the change of venues.

Due to restrictions set forth by the states of Minnesota and Michigan in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bruins and the other partner NAHL teams have relocated the predraft camps to cities nearby the original sites. These new locations limit the interruption to campers’ travel while also allowing for a traditional on-ice experience.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN PRE-DRAFT CHALLENGE NOW LOCATED IN HUDSON, WI

The former Minneapolis, MN, camp has shifted to Hudson, WI, and will be held at the Hudson Sports and Civic Center. Hudson is a suburb of Minneapolis despite being located in a different state. At just 27 miles away from Minneapolis (MSP) airport, a camp in Wisconsin will allow for players to showcase their skills in full while allowing the attending teams to see players’ skills with no restrictions.

In addition to the Bruins, attending the Hudson camp will be the coaching staff and scouting departments of the Janesville Jets, Kenai River Brown Bears, and Johnstown Tomahawks. Though the Bruins have filled their rosters and are currently sold-out, other teams in attendance are still looking for players to compete, including the Johnstown Tomahawks. Keep in mind, that regardless of which team a player is registered for, they will still be evaluated and seen by all four teams in attendance.

Located at just 12 miles from the Detroit (DET) Airport the Tam-O-Shanter Ice Arena in Sylvania, OH, is the new location for the former Detroit Pre-draft Camp. Alongside the Austin Bruins, other teams in attendance will be the Johnstown Tomahawks, Aberdeen Wings, and Amarillo Bulls.

Though the Bruins have filled their rosters and are currently sold-out, other teams in attendance are still looking for players to compete, including the Aberdeen Wings.
