Bruins Frozen by Chill Again

AUSTIN, MN – The Coulee Region Chill continued the trend of the road team prevailing in the season series with the Bruins as they picked up a 4-1 win on Friday night at Riverside Arena. The season series was tied up a 3-3 with two games remaining,

Coulee's Colin Theisen opened the scoring at 6:05 of the first period, taking a pass from his brother Isaac and tapping a puck past Kris Carlson. The Bruins used the powerplay and a got a goal from Austin Rueschhoff to tie it at 13:36. Gilbert Gabor fed Jacob Paganelli, who found Rueschhoff on the top of the crease for a tap-in. The score was 1-1 at the end of one period.

In the 2nd, former Bruin Dominik Florian restored the Chill lead at 7:23, again from Isaac Theisen. At 15:19, Coulee cashed in on the powerplay as Alex Falconer tipped Joey Sofo's left circle shot past Carlson to make it 3-1, which was the score at the end of 40 minutes.

The Chill put the game away at 6:30 of the 3rd when Florian got his 2nd of the game, from the Theisen brothers and made it 4-1. Thh Chill outshot Austin 24-21, and Matiss Kivlenieks improved to 3-1-0 against the Bruins this season, with 20 stops. The Bruins will play in Brookings for the 2nd consecutive Saturday with a 7:30 puck drop tonight from Larson Ice Center. The broadcast begins on FASTHockey.com at 7:20.
