Bruins fall in OT

The Austin Bruins continued their home series against the Coulee Region Chill at Riverside arena. The Bruins beat the third place team last night 5-2. Charlie Adams put on an offensive display as he rifled in three goals. The Bruins scored two power play goals and two shorthanded goals as the special teams has continued to improve. The last two home games at Riverside arena the Bruins have outscored their opponents 10-3. Charlie Adams and Jordan Greenberg have 5 points each in the last two home games. Coming into tonight’s game the Coulee Region Chill leads the season series 2-1. Opening the first period of play Jordan Greenberg capitalized on a shorthanded goal that was set up by Trevor Waldoch. Austin Native John Kirby then added an unassisted goal on the power play. At the first intermission the Bruins led 2-0. The middle period the Chill picked up the pace and hurled 17 shots on Eamon Mcadem. Zac Frischmon had two power play goals for the Chill. At the second intermission the score was tied 2-2. The final frame Jordan Greenberg added his second goal of the game, assisting on the play was Charlie Adams and Mike Adamowicz. The Bruins had the lead late in the third period 3-2. Then Mike Mcdonald tied the game up 3-3 for the Chill. The game went to overtime and the Chill got a goal from Lucas Dillion as the Chill went on to win 4-3 in overtime. The Coulee Region Chill now lead the season series 3-1. The Bruin are back in action on November 25 as they seek revenge at Coulee Region, tune into fasthockey.com for live play by play.
