The Austin Bruins were back at Riverside Arena to battle the Minot Minotauros. Minot was able to silence the Austin crowd just over a minute into the contest. Austin was able to even the score with a power play goal from Brandon Wahlin assisting was AJ Reid and Jay Dickman. Minot than regained the lead off an Austin turnover. At the end of two periods of play the score was 2-1 Minot , shots were even at 11 apiece after one . The second period CJ Smith scored his third shorthanded goal of the season to notch the score at three. Minot was able to the regain the lead moments later on a 5 on 3. Austin finished the third period with a goal from Brandon Wahlin assisting was Riley Colvard. At the end of two periods of play the score was deadlocked at three. The third period Minot took a 4-3 lead with a goal from Cody Milligan. Austin answered back with a big goal from Jay Dickman the assist went to Josh Bretner. With no result after regulation the game went to overtime. The Bruins controlled play the majority of the Overtime but neither team could score. Minot was able to win the shootout in the sixth frame.
