Bruins Draft Pick Davies Selected to US National Team

Austin, MINN. – One of the newest Bruins has been awarded national honors as Dylan Davies has been selected to the United State U-18 team.

Davies, 17, was selected as one of 20 players aiming to make the final roster of 17 for the United State U-18 team and compete against teams from all across the world in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this coming August.

The selected 20, including Davies, beat out a group of 180 vying to the make the roster, and the work isn’t done just yet for the Traverse City, MI, native who has a couple of camps upcoming in which he aims for one of the final 17 spots.

The defenseman was selected by the Bruins in the fourth round of the NAHL Draft this past June after playing with the Chicago Mission U-16 team for two seasons. While with the Mission he racked up 12 points in 35 games played and looks to use his 6-foot-3 frame to add strength to the Bruins backend.
