Bruins Complete Sweep of Minotauros with 4-3 Win

Dec 1, 2018

AUSTIN, Minn. – The Bruins pulled into first place in the Central Division with a huge win on Saturday night over the Minot Minotauros, 4-3.

Just as they started last night, the Bruins got on the goal first on Saturday and much like Friday, it was Dante Sheriff who opened the scoring. His 13th goal of the season was a shot from the high slot that slipped through the arm of Minot goalie Nicholas Grabko and gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead. Minot wasted no time tying the score at one goal apiece but the fight in the Bruins intensified and they retook the lead, 2-1, when Joe Winkelmann buried home a loose puck inside the crease. Once again Minot didn’t go quietly and they battled back to even things at two.

Going into the second period with the score tied, the Bruins stepped on the gas and netted their third of the night. Dylan Davies powered his way from high in the Bruins defensive zone all the way to the offensive slot where his backhand ricocheted off Grabko’s blocker and onto the tape of Winkelmann who buried his second of the night.

Despite Minot coming back for the third time on the night, the Bruins didn’t let it defeat them as a two-on-one led by Dante Sheriff, finished by DeVon fields was enough to give the Bruins the lead and ultimately the victory.

The Bruins have their next five games on the road and will return to Riverside Arena on Saturday, December 29th. Tickets will go on sale the week prior to the Christmas holiday at all the Bruins vendors including, Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn, and Jim’s Marketplace.
