Bruins can’t cool off the Chill!

The Austin Bruins traveled east to Coulee Region Wisconsin to take on the Coulee Region Chill on Thanksgiving Day. The Bruins split their games at Riverside Arena this past weekend against the Chill. On Friday night the Bruins won 5-2, on Saturday night the Bruins lost in overtime 4-3. Jordan Greenberg has 7 points in his last five games and has continued to spark the offense night after night. Jeremy Finger and Trevor Waldoch will both be participating in the Top Prospects tournament in Boston Massachusetts, December 5-7. Both will be competing for team Weight named after former National Hockey League star Doug Weight. The team is comprised of the top prospects in each division in the league. The first period from the Onalaska Omni Center play was even. The Chill outshot the Bruins 9-8 in the first period as the contest was scoreless after one period. The middle period the Chill scored less than a minute in as Zack Frischmon scored his 17th of the season. The Chill continued to work hard as Lucas Dillon scored before the end of the period. The Bruins peppered goaltender Aaron Davis with 28 shots through two periods of play. At the second intermission the Coulee Region Chill led 2-0. The final period James Dickinson scored for the Bruins on the power play assisting on the tally was Chase McDonald.  The Chill went right back to work as Berkley Scott scored for the Chill. Next it was Jake Useldinger who scored for the Chill.  The Chill then added one more from Jake Useldinger as the Chill went on to win with a final score of 5-1.The Bruins are back in action at Riverside arena on December 4th and 5th as they take on the Alexandria Blizzard.
