Bruins Bombard Bobcats, Split Weekend with 5-1 Victory

Nov 17, 2018

AUSTIN, Minn. – Dante Sheriff’s two goals led the way for the Bruins who successfully enacted their revenge with a 5-1 win over the Bismarck Bobcats on Saturday.

After their loss on Friday, the Bruins were out for revenge and wasted no time striking first. Andy Willis tallied his sixth goal of the year only two minutes and 33 seconds into the first period and the black-and-gold were in business.

In the second period, they broke open the scoreboard with three goals. Dante Sheriff added his eighth goal of the season assisted by Willis who achieved multi-point status with the helper, Levi Stauber tallied his sixth of the season to put the Bruins up 3-0 in the second, and Garret Dahm’s fourth made it 4-0 in the middle frame.

Bismarck was able to get their first, and only of the night, later in the second but just for good measure Sheriff racked up another goal late in the third to resume a four-goal Bruins lead.  That lead would hold up through several penalties during the end of the game, and the Bruins earned the split on the weekend with a huge 5-1 win.

Brett Miller earned his fifth win of the season stopping 25 of the 26 Bobcat shots thrown his way.

The Bruins are back at home for their fifth straight home game this Friday when they take on the Chippewa Steel for the third time this season. It’s a Black Friday Blackout where fans are encouraged to dress in all black to blackout the Steel’s chances of winning. In honor of the unofficial Black Friday holiday, the Bruins are offering 10-game packs for 45% off at just $50 per pack, that’s $5 per ticket, and also hosting a 50/50 raffle and TV giveaway raffle.

To get your tickets to Black Friday Blackout, stop by the Bruins ticket partners as early as this Monday at 10 A.M.  and be ready to go back in black. Bruins ticket partners include Games People Play, Hy-Vee, Holiday Inn, and Jim’s Marketplace.
