The Austin Bruins traveled to the Odee Ice Center in Aberdeen South Dakota to battle the Wings. Austin took a 1-0 lead as Brandon Wahlin scored on the Power Play assisting was AJ Reid and Cody Dixon. Austin led 2-0 when Drew Anderson found the back of the net assists went to Jake Flynn and Riley Colvard. The Bruins made it 3-0 when Drew Anderson was set up by AJ Reid and Brandon Wahlin. The second frame the Bruins continued to apply pressure. Drew Anderson was able to complete the hat trick as AJ Reid and Brandon Wahlin added some points on the exchange. At the end of two frames Austin led 4-0 and outshot Aberdeen 28-24. The final period John Simonson added his 39th goal of his career the assist went to CJ Smith. Nick Lehr recorded 37 saves as the Bruins beat the Wings 5-1. Austin will play their game in of the year tomorrow night in the Hub City, tune into AM 1480 KAUS for live play by play.
