Bruins at Bismarck Bobcats

The Bruins traveled west to face off against the defending Robertson Cup Champions, the Bismarck Bobcats. The Bobcats are in second place in the Central Division behind the Owatonna Express and have won 8 of their last 10. Last weekend the Bobcats finished strong with a win over the Aberdeen Wings. The Bruins were last in action at Riverside arena last weekend against the Alexandria Blizzard, the Bruins split the weekend 1-1. The Bruins are 2-2-1 in their last five games and have continued to get offensive production from their top unit Charlie Adams, Jordan Greenberg and Sam Olson. Raleigh North Carolina native Trevor Owens made his debut for the Bruins on Saturday night. Trevor had two assists and finished +4 rating. The first period from VFW Sports Center was action packed. North American Hockey League journeyman Taylor Ward dropped the gloves in his Bruins debut. The Bruins had a solid period outshooting the Bobcats 12-8. The second period the Bobcats flexed their muscles as they got the scoring started courtesy of Dan Zawacki. The next one came from Francis DeAugustine; the Bruins were down 0-2 after the second period. The final frame was much of the same as the Bobcats added three more goals.
