Austin, MN — The Bruins and the North American Hockey League announced the 2018-19 schedule on Monday.
Austin will open the season with back-to-back home games at Riverside arena on Friday, September 28 and 29 against Bismarck. For parity, the Bruins and Bobcats will also wrap up the season in Austin for another pair of back to back games on April 5 and 6.
While almost all of the games fall on Friday or Saturday, a pair of weekday games is slated for the black, gold, and brown. The Bruins will welcome the Wilderness to town on Wednesday, October 24 and will finish up their weekday games and 2018 portion of the schedule on Monday, December 31 in Cloquet.
A deeper look into the schedule shows a five-game homestand in November spanning 21 days from November 2 to 23. By comparison, the longest road trip of the season is also five games long, coming between January 18 and February 1.
