Bruins Alumni Report: Smith Nominated for Hobey Baker

NCAA DI: CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) scored his 14th goal of the season for the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks, as they fell at Boston University, 4-2 on Saturday. Then, on Monday, Smith was then nominated for the Hobey Baker award, for the best college hockey player. Smith’s got 29 points on the season, 5 multi-goal games, and already 100 points in his NCAA career, that still has another year of eligibility remaining. Fans can vote for C.J. HEREIan Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) had a goal and an assist, continuing his impressive freshman campaign for the Minnesota State Mavericks, who defeated Lake Superior State in double OT on Saturday night. Alex Jasiek (Bruins ’14-15) had the biggest game of his young college career, scoring a pair of goals to help Dartmouth top Cornell, 4-2 on Saturday. Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) chipped in two helpers as Michigan State blanked Michigan, 3-0 on Friday.

NCAA DIII: Cory Dunn (Bruins ’13-15) registered a goal and an assist while Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’13-14) picked up two assists as Adrian College swept Lawrence with 5-3 and 2-1 wins over the weekend.
