Oct 19, 2015

This week's Bruins Alumni Report includes a first collegiate goal, a trade, and a pair of reunited teammates in the USHL.

ECHL: Goaltender Keegan Asmundson (Bruins ’10-’11) was traded from the Orlando Solar Bears to the Evansville Ice Men (also the home of former voice of the Bruins John Peterson, who called his first professional game on Saturday, a 3-1 Evansville loss to the Fort Wayne Komets!).

NCAA: Former captain Johnny Simonson (Bruins ’11-’13) netted his first collegiate goal as he opened the scoring for the University of North Dakota in a 4-4 tie against Bemidji State on Friday. Simonson later assisted on the 4th goal. Alex Jasiek (Bruins ’14-‘15) scored the 4th goal for Dartmouth in a 5-4 exhibition loss to the USA National U-18 program on Saturday.

USHL: Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-’15) scored a goal and assisted on another, both in the first 3:25 of a 7-5 Sioux City Musketeers win over the Waterloo Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon. Evan Smith (Bruins ’14-’15) got the win in between the pipes for the Musketeers.
