Bruins Alumni Report: Noisy NCAA Weekend

ECHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) stopped 47 shots and got the win in a wild 7-6 victory for his Missouri Mavericks over the Wichita Thunder on Saturday. The Mavericks were outshot 53-23 in the game.

NCAA DI: CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) had two goals and an assist in UMass-Lowell’s weekend sweep of Northeastern and New Hampshire. Smith, already up for the Hobey Baker Award, was also named a semi-finalist for the Walter Brown Award for the best American-born college hockey player in New England. AJ Reid (Bruins ’11-13 | pictured above) scored twice as Air Force got a 6-1 road win at Bentley on Friday. Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) posted an assist on Friday and then his 2nd goal of the season Saturday, but Michigan State was swept at home by Wisconsin. Nico Sturm (Bruins ’14-15) helped Clarkson to a 3-1 win over St. Lawrence on Saturday night, scoring the game-winner plus an empty netter. Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) was the winning goaltender, with 21 saves. Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) scored a goal on Friday to help Providence on their way to a sweep of Maine and a seven-game winning streak. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) got his point total up to 20 with a pair of assists in a Mankato split with Alaska-Anchorage.

USHL: Austin Rueschhoff (Bruins ’15-16) had two points in Dubuque’s three-in-three, scoring against Sioux Falls on Thursday in a 5-2 win and picking up an assist in Saturday’s 4-3 OT loss to Cedar Rapids. Jacob Paganelli (Bruins ’15-16) scored a goal in Fargo’s 3-2 win over Bloomington on Friday.
