BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Milestone for Smith, Wilkins on Fire

Jan 14, 2019

NHL/AHL: A big congratulations to former Bruin CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) for scoring his first NHL goal a little over a week ago. After playing in four games for the Sabers, Smith was reassigned to the Rochester Americans of the AHL where he promptly scored a pair of goals in his first game back.

SPHL: The Knoxville IceBears are getting some tremendous play out of former Bruin Brandon Wahlin (Bruins ’11-13). In his 13 games played this season, Wahlin has nine points (3G, 6A). Those nine points are more than his previous three years in the SPHL combined. Thanks to Wahlin’s contributions, the IceBears are sitting in playoff position as of right now sitting in 4th place in the SPHL standings.

NCAA DI:  Providence College forward Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) has been on a tear for the Friars since early November. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native is riding a 12-game point streak which extends all the way back to November 10, 2018. Wilkins leads his team in points with 25 and has goals in back-to-back games.

Jay Dickman (Bruins ’12-14) continues his strong senior season at Bemidji State. The 6-foot-6 forward has nine points (3G, 6A) through 23 games this season for the Beavers.
