Bruins Alumni Report: McAdam Posts First Pro Shutout

NHL: Christian Folin (Bruins ’10-12) scored his 2nd goal of the season in Sunday’s 6-3 Wild victory over Detroit. He’s now three points shy of his career high (10 in his rookie season of 2014-15).

ECHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) posted a jaw-dropping 53 save shutout for the Missouri Mavericks in their 3-0 win against the Tulsa Oilers on Friday night. It was the first shutout of McAdam’s pro career. He got the win Saturday too, stopping 44 of 47. McAdam has won seven consecutive starts for the Mavs.

NCAA DI: AJ Reid (Bruins ’11-13) remained red hot, scoring three more goals over the weekend as Air Force went 1-0-1 against American International. Reid now has five goals and one assist in his last four games. CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) didn’t have any goals but registered four assists as UMass-Lowell defeated Boston University and Massachusetts over the weekend. UMA got a goal from Niko Hildenbrand (Bruins ’13-14) in their 4-2 loss – his fourth of the season. Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) went 1-0-1 over the weekend as Clarkson defeated Quinnipiac, 4-2 before losing 3-2 in OT at Princeton the next night. Kielly stopped 33 of 35 in the win Friday while going 45/48 in the losing effort on Saturday. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) registered his 12th and 13th assists of the season, picking up one each night as Minnesota State-Mankato split a series at Alaska-Anchorage. Trey Dodd (Bruins ’13-15) had a big game for Brown on Saturday, scoring his 2nd collegiate goal and picking up an assist as the Bears fell 5-3 at Cornell. Jay Dickman’s (Bruins ’12-14) goal turned out to be the game winner for Bemidji State as they held off Alabama Huntsville 3-2 on Friday.

NCAA D3: Adrian College outscored Concordia by a combined 11-2 mark in their weekend road sweep, with Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’13-14) scoring three of them. Cory Dunn (Bruins ’13-15) chipped in three assists.

USHL: Austin Rueschhoff (Bruins ’15-16) scored his 9th goal of the season in Dubuque’s 4-3 OT loss to Madison on Friday.
