BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: McAdam back in AHL, Kielly Gets 3rd Shutout

AHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) was called back up to Bridgeport after his strong run in the ECHL and responded with a 31 save victory on Saturday night as the Sound Tigers defeated the Albany Devils on the road, 3-2.

NCAA DI: CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) continued his Hobey Baker-hopeful season with four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in UMass-Lowell’s 5-2 win over Massachusetts. Smith is up to 40 points on the season, two our of the national top ten and just behind fellow Hobey nominee Joe Gambardella for the team lead. Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15, pictured above) picked up his third shutout of the season, making 23 stops in a 3-0 Clarkson win over Colgate on Friday. He then drew to a 3-3 tie with Cornell on Saturday, a game in which Nico Sturm (Bruins ’14-15) had an assist – the 20th point of his freshman campaign. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) racked up two more assists as Minnesota State-Mankato swept Northern Michigan by scores of 5-3 and 7-4 over the weekend. Scheid remains the top scoring freshman defenseman on the club and the fifth highest overall scorer (23 points).  Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 Michigan State loss to Ohio State on Friday. NCAA DIII: Cory Dunn (Bruins ’13-15) became Adrian College’s leading scorer with his one goal, three assist weekend in the Bulldogs sweep of St. Scholastica. USHL: Jacob Paganelli (Bruins ’15-16) had three points on the weekend as Fargo swept Madison. He had two helpers in Friday’s 7-1 rout and then scored his 11th goal of the season on Saturday in a 3-1 win. JC MacLean (Bruins ’14-15) had a point each night for Sioux City with a Friday goal and a Saturday assist in the Musketeers sweep of Green Bay.
