BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Kielly, Wilkins with big weeks

NCAA DI: C.J. Smith (Bruins ’11-13) scored his 8th goal of the season in UMass Lowell’s 3-0 win over Clarkson on Monday night. He’s tied for the team lead in points on the Riverhawks with 19.

NCAA DIII: Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’14-15) finished the weekend with a goal and an assist, while Brian Bachnak (Bruins ’13-15) added two assists as Adrian captured the Oswego State Pathfinder Bank Classic Title with a 4-1 win over Williams on Friday and a 5-1 win over the host Oswego State Lakers on Saturday. Boyd remains tied for the team lead in goals with eight as Adrian is off to a 10-1-1 start.

USHL: Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) posted a 35 save shutout as the Tri City Storm blanked Lincoln, 4-0 on Saturday night. Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) had a big week for Sioux City, with two goals and two assists in three games. The Musketeers started its 3-0-0 week with a 4-1 win over Omaha on New Year’s Eve. They then defeated Sioux Falls by the same score on Friday before routing Lincoln 6-1 on Saturday – a two point night for Wilkins. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) netted his third goal of the season on Saturday as well for Sioux City.
