ECHL: Keegan Asmundson (Bruins ’10-11) made 41 saves on 44 shots for his first win of the season in a 5-3 Evansville Ice Men victory over the Alaska Aces on Sunday.

NCAA DI: Jason Pawloski (Bruins ’12-13) picked up two more wins this weekend as Minnesota State swept Alaska Anchorage. He stopped all 12 shots that came his way on Friday in a 2-0 win for his first collegiate shutout. He then stopped 24 in a 6-2 victory on Saturday. Pawloski has started five consecutive games for the Mavericks and has clearly snagged the starting job, with an overall record of 5-0-2 and a GAA of just 1.73. Another former Bruins goalie made an appearance in the DI ranks this past weekend as well. Nick Lehr (Bruins ’11-14) saw his first collegiate action in U of M’s 7-4 loss to St. Cloud State on Saturday. He made 3 saves, playing the final 15:50 of action. C.J. Smith (Bruins ’11-13) had another huge weekend, with an assist in a 3-2 OT win for UMass Lowell against Northeastern on Friday and then two goals against Brown in a 5-5 tie on Saturday night. The 2nd of Smith’s goals came with 39 seconds remaining and an extra attacker to force overtime. He’s tied for the team lead in points with 15. Finally, Johnny Simonson (Bruins ’11-13) had an assist in each of North Dakota’s wins over Michigan State this weekend.

NCAA DIII: Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’13-15) scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in Adrian’s 3-2 win over Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday. Boyd leads all Bulldogs in goal scoring, with 6.

USHL: Jake Kielly (Bruins '14-15) makes 32 saves in a 2-1 Tri City Storm win over Muskegon on Friday. It was Kielly's fourth win of the season and third in his last four starts.
