NCAA DIII: #2 Adrian extended its winning streak to 10 with a sweep of Lake Forest over the weekend. Cory Dunn (Bruins ’13-15) had three helpers in Friday’s 5-1 win and added two more Saturday in an 8-3 final score. Trevor Boyd (Bruins ’13-15) scored one of the eight goals.
USHL: Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) was the overtime hero for Sioux City on Friday night, as his powerplay goal at 3:53 of OT helped them defeat Omaha. Nico Sturm (Bruins ’14-15) had a big weekend for Tri City with a goal on Friday and two assists Saturday. The Storm, behind a pair of wins from Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15), defeated Lincoln, 4-2 (22 saves) and Des Moines, 6-3 (36 saves).
