BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: Asmundson returns to ECHL

ECHL: Keegan Asmundson’s (Bruins ’10-11) whirlwind season continues as he was recalled to the Indy Fuel from the Pensacola Ice Flyers (SPHL) this week. Asmundson won his first three games with the Ice Flyers, including a 28 save effort in a 3-2 win over Huntsville on Thursday. Asmundson has also played with the Evansville Ice Men and Florida Everblades this season.

NCAA D1: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) stopped 34 Golden Gopher shots as Penn State defeated Minnesota, 5-3 on Saturday. C.J. Smith (Bruins ’11-13) hit the 30 point mark for UMass-Lowell with an assist each night as the River Hawks tied Northeastern Friday and then fell to New Hampshire on Saturday.

USHL: Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) stopped 20 of 21 as Tri City beat Youngstown 2-1 on Friday. Kielly’s 2.61 goals-against average is 6th best in the USHL. His save percentage of .924 is tied for 3rd. Niko Hildenbrand (Bruins ’13-14) scored Fargo’s lone goal in a 4-1 Friday loss to Green Bay. In a thrilling finish in Omaha, J.C. Maclean (Bruins ’14-15) set up the game-tying goal with just 0.1 seconds left in regulation before the Lancers defeated the Chicago Steel in overtime, 4-3.
