BRUINS ALUMNI REPORT: All About the Goalies

AHL: CJ Smith (Bruins ’11-13) had a huge game on Friday with four points (2 goals, 2 assists) in Rochester’s 4-2 win over Hartford. He’s now the sole points leader for the Amerks with 15. (4 goals, 11 assists)

ECHL: Eamon McAdam (Bruins ’10-11) picked up two wins this week for Worcester in victories over Manchester on Friday on the road and Sunday at home. The Railers won 2-1 on Friday in McAdam’s 29 save effort before Eamon turned aside 28 in their 4-1 win to close out the weekend.

SPHL: Keegan Asmundson (Bruins ’10-11) got his fourth win of the season for the Huntsville Havoc with 27 saves in defeat of Pensacola, 4-2 on Saturday.

NCAA DI: Jake Kielly (Bruins ’14-15) kept rolling as he led Clarkson to their 5th and 6th consecutive wins at Colgate and Cornell. Saturday’s victory was a 15-save shutout. Among all NCAA DI goaltenders, Kielly ranks 1st in wins (10), 2nd in GAA (1.50) and tied for 2nd in SV% (.946). On Friday, he outdueled Colgate’s Colton Point, the only goaltender ahead of him in each of the latter two categories. Josh Wilkins (Bruins ’14-15) enjoyed a four-point weekend as he scored both goals in Providence’s 2-1 home win against Merrimack on Friday and then added a pair of helpers in a wild 6-6 tie against the same team on the road the next night. Brennan Sanford (Bruins ’13-14) scored his second goal of the season, a shorthanded tally on Saturday night as Michigan State completed a home-and-home sweep of Ferris State. Johnny Simonson (Bruins ’11-13) played hero for North Dakota, scoring the game winner late in the 3rd on Friday as the Fighting Hawks beat Denver, 5-4. Dawson DiPietro (Bruins ’15-16) had another nice weekend with a Friday goal and Saturday assist as Western Michigan swept Nebraska-Omaha by 4-1 and 5-2 final scores. DiPietro is fourth on the team with 14 points on the season. Ian Scheid (Bruins ’14-15) scored two goals as Mankato defeated Bowling Green on Friday, 6-1.

NCAA DIII: Michael Piehler (Bruins ’15-17) had an assist in Bethel’s first win of the season 3-2 on Friday at Concordia. Robbie Goor (Bruins ’15-16) got his 2nd collegiate win with 23 saves in Gustavus Adolphus’ 5-2 Friday victory over Hamline.

USHL: Jake Kucharski (Bruins ’16-17) got a win on Saturday with a 31-save effort in Des Moines’ 4-1 home win over Tri City. AJ Drobot (Bruins ’15-17) had a helper as Fargo took down Sioux City on Saturday, 5-1.
