Bruins 5 Game Win Streak Snapped

Austin wrapped up the week with another game in Aberdeen South Dakota. The opening period from the Odde Ice Center had the Wings scoring first. Aberdeen scored another as Steve Sullivan scored on a breakaway. Austin cut the lead in half with a goal from John Simonson assisting was Drew Anderson. Austin added a Power Play goal as Josh Bretner was set up by Joe Caprio. At the end of one period of play the score was even at two. The second period Austin scored again with a pile up in front of the net, it was CJ Smith that was credited with the goal. At the end of two periods of play Austin outshot Aberdeen 26-24 and led 3-2. The third period Aberdeen was able to even the score at three with a goal from Mike Parnell. The Wings took a 4-3 lead with 44 seconds left in the third period. Austin could not find the back of the net with the extra attacker. Austin has its five game win streak snapped with the loss 4-3 loss. The B’s are back on the road next weekend to travel to the Magical City of Minot North Dakota. Tune into AM 1480 KAUS for live play by play.
