Bruins 5-0 Against Blizz

The Austin Bruins had just one game this weekend against the Brookings Blizzard. The first period from Riverside Arena was action packed as expected. At the first intermission the game was scoreless. Austin had twelve shots on net while Brookings had just seven. The second period Jay Dickman added his tenth goal of the season on the Power Play giving Austin the 1-0 lead. After two periods of play Austin led 1-0. The Bruins got a goal from Chris Fischer in the third period, assisting was Drew Anderson and Riley Colvard. Austin had the lead cut in half with just 2:00 left on the clock. With the score 2-1 with just two ticks on the clock Brookings found some heroics and notched it at two. The game went to overtime where both teams failed to find an answer. In the shootout it was the Rochester Native Drew Anderson who netted the game winner. Nick Lehr recorded his 22nd win of his career with the victory. Austin will play a home and away series next weekend against the Blizzard.  On Friday night the boys travel to Brookings and on Saturday they are at home.
