Bobcats Complete Weekend Sweep of the Bruins in 5-2 Loss

BISMARCK, ND- In a similar fashion to Friday Night, the Bruins would mount a 3rd period come back by Bismarck would hold off Austin to cap off the regular-season series between the two clubs.

Coming into Saturday night, the Bobcats have won four straight games, while the Bruins on the other end have lost six straight. Bismarck would light the lamp first coming off the stick of Luke Roelofs to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead 10:26 into the 1st period. Less than two minutes later, they would add another, this time from Michael Neumeier to take a 2-0 lead to the locker room after the first period of action.

Bruins would trail 2-0 until 13:14 of the 2nd period when Therien Thiesing would collect his 2nd goal of the season to pull the Bruins back within 1-goal. Bismarck would capitalize on their Power Play goal from Brady Egan, two minutes and twenty-one seconds later to regain a two-goal lead.

The third period the Bruins would come out hot, as Michal Jasenec would get his 8th of the season on a Chad Thomas Thrivent Finacial Power Play goal to make it 3-2 Bismarck. The Bobcats would answer back to two goals back-to-back, however, to come away with a 5-2 victory and to split the season series four games to four. Klayton Knapp would be saddled with the loss while stoping 25 of the 29 shots he would face.

The Bruins travel up to Minot next weekend to take on the Minotauros for the final time during the regular season. Both games are set for 7:35 PM CST.
