The Austin Bruins were back in action at Riverside Arena as they continued the bird hunt against the Wings. Aberdeen found the score sheet first as Jake Horton scored on a Power Play to give the Wings a 1-0 lead. Austin was able to tie when CJ Smith dangled into the Wings end and found Chris Fischer. At the end of two periods of play the score was tied at one. The second frame Austin scored a Power Play goal as Josh Bretner let one fly from the blue line, assisting was Scotty Nelson and CJ Smith. Austin took a 3-1 lead with a Power Play goal from CJ Smith assists went to Chris Fischer and Josh Bretner. Than Nate Mondry scored his first goal of his NAHL career, the assists went to Nolan Kirley and Cody Dixon. Austin made it 5-1 with Chris Fischer’s fourth goal of the weekend; assists went to Easton Viitala and Josh Bretner. The Bruins led 5-1 after two periods. The final frame Austin continued to pepper Paige Skoog with plenty of rubber. Austin completes the sweep with a 5-1 victory.
